What is Shipton Network Services ? Shipton Network Services is part of the Shipton Communications Group, the oldest telecommunications service provider in Europe, and were one of the first independent network services companies in the UK . We have been offering our customers network services since 1986 in partnership with what was then Mercury Communications and have vast experience in deploying and supporting your lines, calls, and data traffic. As with our telephone system support, all support services are offered by our service centre in Hemel Hempstead.
Reduced Call Costs and Improved Services: Shipton Networks will route your calls over a Tier 1 network at rates that are among the most competitive in the industry. We will analyse your bill and ensure you achieve real savings and your service is improved by using us. We maintain a huge vested interest in meeting these obligations as our customers normally require long-term service contracts, they will mainly use us to maintain their telephone system also and stay with us on average for 12 years.
One Point of Contact - How many times have you had a problem with your telephone system and have not been sure if it’s a line or a system fault? We can solve that. Via our agreement with BT, we can manage the, testing, repairs and installations of your lines and telephone systems. Your lines stay with BT and BT engineers will fix any line problems. You have the benefit of only having one number to ring for any telecoms problems
Call Cost Analysis: Our account managers are trained to give you the best advice you need to be aware that you will be quoted various charges for your calls and some rates appear to be more favorable than others. These need to be considered carefully as you can be quoted either per minute or per second billing, and this can make a significant difference to your phone bills.
Non-Geographic Numbers 0800, 0844/5, 0870 etc Ever wanted to track your companies advertising, or to give your organisation a larger presence? How about gaining more customers by allowing them to contact you via a Freephone number? You can achieve all of these with the use of Non-Geographic Phone Numbers.
Network Reliability It is important when choosing your network provider that they are able to offer you consistent and reliable levels of service. The industry offers three levels of network service, these being Tier’s 1, 2 and 3. We would recommend to your company that you choose a Tier 1 carrier, as these companies work to the same standards as British Telecom and you can be assured of their reliability.
On Line Detailed Billing with Call Analysis Shipton bills will details all your calls and report on useful profiles such as the most expensive calls, % of calls to mobiles, local national etc. Bills can be sent as email or paper and/or viewed on-line with daily updates. Multiple sites can be included on a single bill and single log-on to the billing website.
Voice & Data Networks We use the 21CN technologies to route your Voice and data traffic on single or dedicated lines. Managed and unmanaged networks can be deployed.
Voice over IP VoIP can be used to reduce the cost of your telecoms by using broadband connections to route your calls. We can assure the quality of the calls by using business class broadband lines and ensuring the network design can support voice calls. VoIP is the primary method of connecting mobile staff that require voice connections from home ( see below) or from where there is an internet connection.
Homeworkers Homeworkers typically need a voice and data connection. The easiest way to do this is to use a single broadband connection and link that back to the business telephone system and computer network. To implement this properly can be done cheaply and easily if your supplier has the experience. We have, and already use this technology to successfully home-base our engineering and sales teams across the UK, each with a voice and data connection to our central combined voice and data network. Let us show you how this is done.
Managed Services: Shipton will combine support and billing for all your companies voice and data networks and premises equipment. Existing suppliers can be retained with an agreed service level agreement, giving the customer reduced costs and a single point of contact.
